Guided Imagery Safe Space Meditation

Spring is finally here and it’s time for our bodies and minds to re-emerge from this winter. Anyone else feel like a bear coming out of hibernation when you walk outside? The winter creates a longing for the sun, warmth, ease and a sense of groundedness and comfort.

As I listened to our travel meditations which I intended to highlight here, I felt an overwhelming expectation to already be coming from a warm and grounded place. By exploring the senses, thinking of the sun and fresh lemons seems like too big of a stretch, when my toes are still cold from walking outside in the dewy grass this morning. I think we need time to thaw. Time to stretch internally and externally. Let the sun and warmth hit our face and embrace us like a friend we haven’t seen in way too long.

I think it makes sense to stretch from our long winter and slowly step out into the sun, taking our time as we ease ourselves into the new season. So, why don’t we take this journey together?

Let’s start this Meditation Monday by featuring the Guided Imagery Safe Space Meditation. Using Guided Imagery we create a space in our mind that is safe, restful and restorative to let ourselves slowly emerge from winter and embrace the spring.
