Meditation Mondays: Intention Setting

Check out IG Live Meditation Mondays series led by my colleague Erica Rodas and myself, where we dive into the building blocks that will help create a foundation for your meditation practice. On March 1st at 6 PM we will be exploring Intention Setting.

Intention setting. Setting an intention can look really different depending on what your goal is in setting it!

I was once told by my co-host, Erica Rodas that intention setting is like planting a seed and watching it manifest and grow. She went on to explain that intention setting also helps us examine the reason behind why we want to meditate.

Identifying our intentions can help us meet our needs right now and through meditation, we shine light on the fact that part of what we want, we already have.

For instance, if our intention is to build more self love, we can in fact uncover the self love we have to give right now. So, you feel that self love right now AND get to build on this the more you meditate.

Instant gratification and more where that came from- sounds pretty good to me!

My most recent intentions are to act from a place of desire and not from a place of fear. This applies to many aspects of my life. For instance, my intention in hosting Meditation Mondays was to share my passion for collaboration and give my clients and community a tangible way to work on their meditation practice.

This is coming from a place of desire vs. fear which could be setting up a workshop to continuously produce. This is a fear-based pitfall that I could easily fall into as a business owner.

Meditation helps me to take a moment and identify my intentions, “plant the seed” so to speak, and let my intention manifest into reality. I use meditation as a tool to continuously check-in and observe where I am at and what direction I am heading.

This helps me professionally and personally evolve and follow a path towards achieving my goals.
