I am a psychotherapist practicing in New York, Connecticut and Louisiana specializing in working with motivated young women, professionals, entrepreneurs and therapists. Together we address a wide range of issues including anxiety, relational concerns, life transitions and self-esteem. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness and support of the mind-body connection tailored to my client's individual needs. I earned my master’s degree from Columbia School of Social Work, worked at Mount Sinai Hospital and completed advanced clinical training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through therapy, my clients are empowered to connect with their strengths, their stories and their unique abilities to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Areas of Focus
What is the best part of the work for you?
Connecting with patients human to human and developing a meaningful and powerful bond is what I am most passionate about. Creating a long lasting relationship with patients and therapists in my practice, watching the evolution of each person I engage with makes me come back each day with incredible energy and commitment to my work. When you can truly dive into your passion and authentic path, the “job” becomes something different and I hope to share that with the patients and larger community that the practice connects with.
How participatory are you during sessions?
As a provider and supervisor I would describe my style as active, engaged and authentic. When working together, I see it as an opportunity to connect in a warm and safe space. We interact human to human, no airs or ego. We create a space for you to explore, reflect and evolve that is tailored to you and therefore will be a different experience for each patient. Learning your needs, the space that gives you the ability to thrive in session and out of session is how I evaluate and cultivate this unique experience.
